Jeff Fitzgerald, Jeremy Miranda, Danna Ray and Kathleen Robbins

Portsmouth, NH – This June, Nahcotta exhibits the collective work of Jeff Fitzgerald, Jeremy Miranda, Danna Ray, and Kathleen Robbins, on view from June 7 until June 30. The opening reception is Friday, June 7, from 5-8 p.m., concurrent with Portsmouth’s downtown art walk.

Jeremy Miranda’s acrylic on panel pieces merge interiors and exteriors recalling double-exposed film, with disparate imagery layered and brought together to share a still, verdant space of sea and homestead, wild woods and cabin sanctity. Newmarket artist Kathleen Robbins’s plein air paintings, lush oils on canvas, inspire idyllic memories of the gorgeous New England sky at dusk, tranquil inlets, and quiet coves. The mixed media paintings from New York artist Danna Ray relay a dreamy, hazy remembrance of the woods and fields so prevalent in her upbringing, expressed through the mind and hand of an urbanite. And York, Maine artist Jeff Fitzgerald once again depicts the mercurial, wonderful tumult of the sea through his wildly energetic brushstrokes of acrylic on canvas.

The opening reception for this exhibition is free and open to the public and will take place at Nahcotta on the evening of Friday, June 7, 5-8pm. Nahcotta is located at 110 Congress Street in downtown Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
